Job Title: Field Technician – Dell Laptop Warranty Service Job Summary: A dependable and skilled professional responsible for providing on-site warranty repair and maintenance services for Dell laptops. The role requires traveling to customer locations using a personal bike, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of hardware and software issues while maintaining customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: On-Site Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in Dell laptops. Replace defective components such as motherboards, screens, keyboards, and internal parts under warranty policies. Petrol Allowance will paid on the customer visit Travel and Logistics: Use a personal bike to reach customer locations promptly within the assigned service area. Plan routes efficiently to minimize response times. Customer Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service to customers. Clearly explain the nature of the issue and the steps taken to resolve it. Warranty Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and replacements comply with Dell’s warranty terms. Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and parts used. Parts and Inventory Management: Safeguard and manage spare parts inventory for repairs. Return defective parts to Dell as per guidelines. Reporting and Escalation: Prepare and submit detailed service reports after each job. Escalate unresolved or complex issues to higher technical support teams. Qualifications and Skills: Educational Background: Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Dell Certified Technician, or equivalent preferred. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in hardware repair and troubleshooting, specifically for Dell laptops. Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing laptop hardware, including motherboard, display, and battery replacements. Familiarity with Dell diagnostic tools and warranty management systems. Basic software troubleshooting and networking skills. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Additional Requirements: Own a bike with a valid driving license and vehicle insurance. Physically capable of handling laptops, tools, and spare parts. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region. Work Environment: Field-based role requiring frequent travel to customer sites using a bike. Interaction with diverse customers at homes, offices, and other locations.
