Field Operator

As a Field Operator in a thermal power plant, your role involves ensuring the safety guidelines are followed, including the PTW system. You will need to switch from automatic to manual controls and isolate equipment mechanically and electrically for the safe execution of repair work as per NOMAC permit to work system. Monitoring work as per the permit to work system and ensuring all safety precautions are taken is also a critical responsibility. You will be responsible for confined space gas testing, acting as a fire watcher, and providing first-line support for emergencies, including initial extinguishing of fires. Your duties will also include manual operation of valves, dampers, and other equipment, as well as reporting any unsafe conditions or acts to the competent authority. Adherence to SOPs and operating instructions is essential, along with ensuring the health and safety of working professionals during maintenance tasks. Monitoring and reporting of thermal power plant process parameters, as well as local equipment parameters, will be part of your daily activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness, complying with all statutory and environmental norms, and working in various weather conditions. You should be prepared to work with H2/CO2/NG/N2 filling/purging, ammonia tanker unloading, and electrochlorination system activities. Other duties may be assigned to you from time to time.
