Through a values-based, transformational 50-day training program, Unnati assures jobs for the youth to help them and their families be economically independent. We strongly believe in three principles that are the guiding principles for Unnati: · If we train someone, they must be given a job · They must be part of the inclusive society · They must be change agents in the society Our two flagship programs – Unnati and UNXT are well defined and established. Our goal over the next few years is to scale them to the next level and reach geographies that are untouched and vulnerable. We want to leverage local talent and technology to reach every corner of the nation. Please go through our website : Website: www.unnatiblr.org Job Description Community Change Agent is one of the important roles for the organization. As the name suggests, this position is envisioned as someone who works closely with the community and brings about change. As a Community Change Agent (CCA), you will be accountable for conducting effective outreach programs in the Community, with the intention of enrolling youth into the Unnati program. Creating awareness and building credibility for Unnati, building a strong network of people/ organizations to source students and enrolling students into the program are some key responsibilities of this role. A CCA is required to work with a team of Change Makers in a Centre, and together, they are required to negotiate/ convince parents and students to be a part of the program. While the CCA is accountable to bring in at least 60 quality leads a week, they must work with the Change Makers to convert at least 25 students for a batch to be initiated. Unnati expects a Centre to operate independently and efficiently by optimizing all resources available to them. Working together as a team; role modelling the ‘Unnati way’; communicating effectively with all departments and keeping an eye on the outcomes will make a Centre successful, along with the Community Change Agent. We are looking for someone who will be highly energised by working with youth from the community and love a challenging, yet rewarding environment to work in. Someone who is passionate, committed, self-motivated, a go-getter will be a great fit for this position. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Outreach and Enrolment of Students - Create a plan of outreach activities in the community to mobilise youth. Manage time in split shifts (3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening) to ensure availability of youth during outreach - Create local networks and channels that can help in sourcing of students. Reach out to colleges, training institutions to create more demand for the Unnati training - Attend local events and share details about the Unnati program and its impact - Obtain referrals of students from the alumni and current students of the program - Conduct parents meeting at the Centre to explain about the program and the placement options - Create a database of all the potential students and alumni for easy access and reference 2. Coordination at the Centre - Coordinate with the Change Makers (CM) to convert leads into enrolments for the Centre. Work with the CMs to meet with potential students/ parents to convince them about the program - Participate in weekly meetings and share updates about the community outreach - Proactively anticipate issues/ challenges posed by the community and work towards resolving them - Manage the communications collaterals with limited wastage. Place orders for more stock based on the activities planned for the next month - Coordinate with the Change Makers and invite guest speakers from the community for the Valediction program - Visit the Centre daily to share updates and support the CMs with the operations of the Centre - Document social impact stories/ success stories from the Centre to share with the HO (for social media) - Ensure all social media posts by Unnati official handles are shared and forwarded further in your networks Selection Criteria: Education10th Or 12th Experience0 0-2 years of experience working in the private or development sectorLanguages neededEnglish, Local language Skills- Communication skills- Team working skills- Influencing and Negotiation Skills - Coordination skills - Ability to think on one’s feet- Problem solving skills- Ability to understand the needs of the community/ youth Salary Range Upto Rs. 15,000 pm + Rs. 2,500/-Travel Allowance + Incentives above 8 Admissions
