Position: Field Officer

Industry: Agrochemical / Agriculture Inputs

Department: Marketing Field Operations

Reporting To: Area Sales Manager / Regional Manager

Job Summary :

The Field Officer will be responsible for field-level promotion of agrochemical products, building strong relationships with

farmers, dealers, and distributors, conducting product demonstrations, and collecting market and crop intelligence. The

role involves extensive field travel and direct interaction with the farming community.

Key Responsibilities

Field & Sales Activities

• Conduct daily field visits to villages, farms, dealers, and distributors

• Promote company products such as fertilizers, pesticides, bio-products, seeds, etc.

• Achieve assigned sales targets and coverage objectives

• Support dealers in product placement, visibility, and farmer connect

Farmer Engagement & Demonstrations

• Conduct field demonstrations (demos) and farmer meetings

• Educate farmers on correct product usage, dosage, and safety measures

• Address farmer queries and handle product-related complaints professionally

Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Collect information on crop condition, pest/disease incidence, and competitor activities

• Submit Daily Call Reports (DCRs), demo reports, and market feedback

• Maintain accurate records of farmer interactions and dealer visits

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, retailers, and distributors

• Coordinate with internal teams for schemes, promotions, and technical support

Compliance & Ethics

• Ensure ethical promotion practices and follow company guidelines

• Promote safe and responsible use of agrochemical products

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (BSC).

•_ Freshers or candidates with 1–3 years _of field experience in agrochemical or Agri-input companies

Skills & Competencies

• Good communication skills (local language preferred)

• Willingness to work in rural and field conditions

• Basic understanding of crops, pests, and agrochemical products

• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work independently and achieve targets

• Basic reporting and documentation skills

Job Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory

• Ability to work with targets and deadlines

• Must be comfortable with field-based, result-oriented work

• Two-wheeler with valid driving license (preferred)
