Role & responsibilities Job Overview: The Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, installation, and maintenance services for marine equipment for the Indian Navy. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer service excellence. The Service Engineer will work closely with customers to ensure optimal performance and satisfaction with our products and services. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to niche electrical products/systems. Perform on-site or remote troubleshooting and repairs. Provide guidance and support to customers for proper operation and maintenance. Installation and Setup: Install and configure systems according to company specifications. Conduct initial tests and quality checks to ensure proper functionality. Provide training to customers on product usage and maintenance. Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on systems. Implement upgrades and modifications as required. Keep detailed records of service activities and parts used. Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and concerns. Provide clear explanations and instructions to customers regarding technical issues and solutions. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. Documentation and Reporting: Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Track and manage service-related inventory and equipment. Report recurring issues or product defects to the engineering team for further analysis. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations. Ensure all service activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
