Job Description

Job Title: Field Engineer

Review P&IDs, PFDs, SOPs, and commissioning procedures; ensure compliance with project specifications.
Perform system walkdowns, punch listing, and ensure timely closure of pending tasks.
Ensure all equipment and systemsincluding pumps, compressors, heat exchangersare tested, calibrated, and verified as per design.
Conduct hydro-testing, leak testing, flushing, chemical cleaning and functional checks.
Support troubleshooting, performance tests, and handover to Operations team with proper documentation.
Monitor safety compliance and ensure adherence to permit-to-work and process safety standards.
Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders for issue resolution.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of plant process equipment, especially pumps, machineries, and piping systems.
Hands-on experience with leak testing, hydrotest packages, and mechanical clearance checks.
Ability to read engineering drawings (P&ID, isometrics, GA, etc.).
Skilled at managing field teams and coordinating with control room personnel.
Good knowledge of safety policies (PSM, HAZOP, PTW).
Problem-solving attitude with quick decision-making capabilities.
Proficiency in using commissioning checklists and project documentation tools.

Preferred Background

Prior experience in large-scale Petrochemical, Chemical, or Fertilizer project commissioning.
Exposure to greenfield/brownfield project environments.
Vendor coordination and troubleshooting experience.
