Field Bio Medical Service Engineer

A Field Bio-Medical Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing medical equipment at hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centres. The role ensures that all biomedical devices operate safely, efficiently, and as per regulatory standards. The engineer must travel to various client locations, provide timely technical support, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Commissioning:

Install, calibrate, and commission medical equipment at customer sites ensuring proper functioning and user satisfaction.

• Preventive Maintenance (PM):

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to enhance equipment longevity and reduce breakdowns.

• Breakdown Service Support:

Diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform repairs, and ensure minimum downtime for critical devices.

• Technical Troubleshooting:

Identify hardware, software, and application-related problems and implement corrective actions promptly.

• Customer Training:

Provide demonstrations and operational training to end-users on safe and effective equipment usage.

• Documentation:

Prepare service reports, installation documents, PM checklists, and maintain accurate service records.

• Spare Parts Management:

Coordinate for required spare parts, maintain stock records, and ensure timely replacement of components.

• Regulatory Compliance:

Follow safety protocols, quality standards, and company SOPs during service activities.

• Client Relationship Management:

Maintain healthy communication with clients, address service-related queries, and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Travel & Field Visits:

Travel across assigned regions to attend installations, maintenance, and emergency service calls.

• Coordination with OEM/Service Team:

Report recurring issues, assist in warranty claims, and support internal teams for technical escalations.
