Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fiber Optic Splicer located in Chennai. The Fiber Optic Splicer will be responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables. Daily tasks will include preparing cables, connecting cables to equipment, utilizing hand tools for structured cabling, and ensuring proper routing and organization of fibers within enclosures. Adherence to safety protocols and maintaining updated project documentation will also be required.

Qualifications

Expertise in handling fiber optic cables and structured cabling
Proficiency with hand tools and electrical work related to cabling
Ability to work with and understand electricity fundamentals as they relate to cabling and infrastructure
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
Relevant certifications or training in fiber optic splicing or related fields are a plus
Previous experience in telecom or networking projects is beneficial
Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions
