Job Description

Job Responsibilities : Should have sound knowledge in FEA, Solid mechanics, Machine design and Fatigue and damage tolerance concepts with strong engineering fundamentals. Should be able to read engineering drawings, know concepts of GD&T Good understanding of engine components like Fan Case/ Intermediate case/ Diffuser case, HPC/LPC/HPT/LPT Rotors, aerofoils and other mechanical components Good understanding of load paths, required load cases for stress assessments Hands-on experience of working, leading FE modelling activities, 2D/3D static, Modal, Linear Non-linear analysis for complex aerospace components and systems. Good understanding on Strength, buckling and Durability(LCF/HCF) of components. Should be able to derive stress concentration factors from Petersons and apply to the actual condition Prepare technical solutions for the incoming hardwares from the aero engine overhaul shops with damage/non conformances Study previous solutions for clearing the impacted hardware’s and apply them as required to current requirements Study the engine and service manuals to understand the serviceable limits, repair limits, and repair procedures for the required engine hardware’s Understand the design solution and provide resolution to the identified non-conformances duly following customer methods and processes Coordinate with component owners and cross functional teams for design solution verification Stress analysis of the reported damage conditions using ANSYS APDL,HYPERMESH,SIESTA Write and edit APDL macros for required analysis Solve and debug convergence issues Lead and mentor team in the day to day activities Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Required Qualifications 3 - 12 years of experience in mechanical design & analysis of aircraft engine models Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace engineering with excellent academic background Experience in Non-Conformance, repair evaluation processes and regulations Proficiency in application of ANSYS ,HYPERMESH, Unigraphics , software and Siesta is added advantage Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, Design Principles, Drawing reading, GD & T, Tolerance stack up Experience in engine components like Fan Case/ Intermediate case/ Diffuser case, HPC/LPC/HPT/LPT Rotors, aerofoils and other mechanical components Strong oral and written communication skills Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Perks and benefits
