Job Summary:
The Factory Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the factory. The role ensures smooth coordination between departments, proper utilization of resources, and compliance with safety, statutory, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administration & Facility Management
Manage general administration activities including housekeeping, security, canteen, and transport.
Maintain attendance, overtime, and leave records for factory staff.
Ensure availability and maintenance of office supplies, PPE kits, and other materials.
Coordinate with vendors for repair and maintenance of factory equipment and premises.
2. Compliance & Documentation
Assist in statutory compliance related to factory operations (Factory Act, labour laws, EHS norms, etc.).
Maintain and update all factory licenses, renewals, and safety certifications.
Ensure proper documentation and record keeping as per company and legal requirements.
3. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with HR, accounts, stores, and production teams for administrative needs.
Liaise with government authorities and external agencies when required.
Support HR in managing onboarding, ID cards, and welfare activities for factory employees.
4. Safety & Welfare
Oversee implementation of health, safety, and environment (HSE) measures.
Ensure regular safety audits, fire drills, and housekeeping inspections.
Maintain canteen hygiene and staff welfare facilities.
5. Inventory & Resource Control
Monitor factory assets, tools, and consumables.
Maintain stock registers and track asset movement within the premises.
Support the purchase team for procurement of admin-related items.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Administration / Management / Industrial Relations or equivalent.
1 - 3 years of experience in factory or plant administration.
Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
Knowledge of factory laws, safety norms, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (preferred).
