Facility Manager

Job Title: Facility Manager – International Airport

Department: Facilities Management / Airport Operations

Reports To: Head – Airport Operations / General Manager – Facilities

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage all facility management functions at the international airport, ensuring seamless operations, safety, regulatory compliance, and service excellence. The role involves overseeing technical, soft, and specialized airport systems to maintain world-class operational standards aligned with international aviation requirements.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Facilities Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

10–15 years of experience in facility management or large-scale infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations & Maintenance

· Oversee daily facility management operations across terminal buildings, airside, and landside areas.

· Ensure continuous functioning of MEP systems, HVAC, BMS, STP, WTP, fire detection & suppression systems, and baggage handling systems.

· Implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.

· Coordinate and supervise outsourced service providers and ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs.

· Monitor asset performance and initiate reliability improvement actions.

2. Health, Safety, Security & Compliance

· Ensure full compliance with international aviation standards and statutory regulations (DGCA, BCAS, ICAO, IATA, and local authorities).

· Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills.

· Ensure documentation and compliance for all critical systems such as fire safety, elevators, and energy systems.

· Promote a strong safety culture among staff and service partners.

3. Energy, Sustainability & Environmental Management

· Develop and implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.

· Optimize usage of utilities (power, water, fuel) and monitor efficiency of systems.

· Support implementation of green airport initiatives and environmental management programs (ISO 14001, ISO 50001).

4. Resource & Vendor Management

· Manage manpower deployment, shift planning, and training of the facilities team.

· Oversee vendor contracts, procurement of materials, and service-level performance.

· Ensure cost control and adherence to operational budgets without compromising service quality.

5. Coordination & Communication

· Liaise with airport stakeholders including airlines, ground handling agencies, customs, immigration, and security authorities for smooth coordination.

· Participate in operational review meetings and provide timely reporting on facility performance.

· Coordinate with project teams for new installations, upgrades, and infrastructure expansions.

6. Reporting & Documentation

· Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, compliance reports, incident logs, and audit documentation.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports, including energy, manpower, and system uptime data.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Facilities Engineering (Master’s preferred).

· 10–15 years of experience in facility management or large-scale infrastructure environment.

Note: International airport experience will be more advantage.

· Strong understanding of airport systems, airside/landside operations, and international safety standards.

· Proficient in CAFM / CMMS software and BMS systems.

· Certification in Safety, Quality, or Energy Management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO Lead Auditor) is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
