Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced F&A Manager to lead and manage end-to-end finance processes within a BPO/Shared Services environment. The role involves handling client operations, team management, process improvement, stakeholder management, and ensuring SLA/KPI adherence across accounting functions such as Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Order to Cash (O2C). The role requires strong operational knowledge, ability to handle large teams, and deep understanding of US/UK/Global accounting processes with strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Ownership & Operations
-
Own end-to-end delivery of assigned F&A process (R2R / P2P / O2C / AR / AP / GL / Reconciliation).

Ensure smooth execution of daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities.
-
Drive smooth and timely month-end close activities in alignment with client timelines.
-
Manage complex accounting issues, escalations, and exception handling.
-
Monitor and improve accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
-
Ensure all accounting activities adhere to client SOPs and accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS).

2. People Management & Team Leadership
-
Manage a team of 50–100 FTEs (Team Leads, SMEs, Analysts).
-
Plan staffing & handle FTE movement, backfills, and workforce planning.
-
Conduct goal setting, performance reviews, and regular feedback sessions.
-
Identify skill gaps & ensure training plans for team members.
-
Drive engagement initiatives and manage attrition control.
-
Manage discipline issues and team conflicts proactively.
-
Mentor Team Leads and prepare succession plans.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
-
Primary SPOC for client communication for process delivery.
-
Manage daily/weekly/monthly calls with client stakeholders.
-
Present process performance dashboards and KPIs.
-
Handle high-level escalations and resolve operational challenges.
-
Build strong relationship with client Finance Controllers, Process Owners, and SMEs.
4. Transition & Knowledge Transfer (KT)
-
Lead new process transitions or expansions.
-
Prepare transition plans, timelines, and risk registers.
-
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions from onshore to offshore teams.
-
Build process documentation, SOPs, process maps, and control matrices.
-
Manage stabilization phase post-transition.
5. Controls, Compliance & Audits
-
Ensure compliance with SOX and internal control requirements.
-
Support internal, external, and client audits.
-
Ensure updation of RCMs, control checklists, and SOPs.
-
Handle audit observations and implement corrective action plans (CAPA).
-
Identify control risks and improve control environment.
6. Process Improvement & Automation
-
Identify automation opportunities using tools like RPA, macros, workflows.
-
Drive process transformation and cost optimization initiatives.
-
Lead Lean / Six Sigma / Kaizen initiatives.
-
Support new tool implementation & system upgrades.
-
Focus on error reduction, cycle time reduction, and productivity improvement.
7. Reporting & MIS
-
Prepare and review monthly MIS for operations and client.

Track key operational and financial metrics:

Month-end close adherence

SLA & TAT compliance

Accuracy / Quality (%)
-
DSO improvement
-
Backlog aging
-
Productivity per FTE
-
Shrinkage & utilization
-
Present trends, root causes & improvement plans.
8. Commercial & Financial Ownership

Support account financials like cost management and margin improvement.

Optimize manpower costs and highlight efficiency gains.

Support new pricing, scoping and ramp-up activities.
-
Track team utilization and revenue alignment with client scope.
9. Required Skills & Competencies
Technical:

Strong functional knowledge of F&A end-to-end operations.

Understanding of US GAAP/IFRS concepts.

Experience in SOX controls and process audits.

Transition and process migration experience.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- 8+ years of experience in F&A domain
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive results and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in insurance management software and MS Office Suite.

- The candidate should be flexible to work in any shift 24/7.
