Role Description Position: Director of Business Development (MedTech & Biotech) Location: Hybrid role based in India, with some remote work Reports To: VP/CSO Overview: This full-time, hybrid role for a Director of Business Development focuses on driving revenue growth within the Life Sciences sector, covering U.S.-based customers. As a "player" role, the Director will actively contribute to sales efforts . Responsibilities include Sales, business development, sales strategy, contract negotiation, and client management. Key Responsibilities: Revenue Growth: Lead and design sales strategies aimed at achieving revenue targets within the Life Sciences vertical, while adhering to established engagement protocols. Client Acquisition: Actively prospect and engage potential clients within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device sectors to expand the company’s customer base. Sales Pipeline: Establish and maintain a pipeline of future business opportunities, supporting sustained revenue growth. Proposal Management: Direct the development of RFPs and proposals to effectively communicate company value and solutions. Contract Negotiation: Secure new contracts and strategic partnerships to expand the Life Sciences portfolio. Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality for all company-related information and records. Compliance: Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct. Actively participate in the Corporate Compliance Program. Additional Projects: Support other projects as assigned by management. Qualifications Education & Experience: Experience: 5-8 years in direct sales or business development, with a strong emphasis on solution selling, enterprise sales preferably SMB market Industry Focus: 3-5 years of sales experience specifically in the Life Sciences sector (Medtech and Biotech) is required. Track Record: Demonstrated success in prospecting, building pipelines, advancing opportunities through the sales cycle, and presenting solutions to clients. Skills & Abilities: Customer Orientation: Strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and results. Organization: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop actionable sales plans. Communication: Ability to engage and influence effectively at all organizational levels. Education: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech or a Ph.D in (Comp.Sc/Elec.Engg/Biomedical Engg); an MBA is highly desirable.
