Expert Manual Transmission (Gears & Shafts)

As a candidate for the role of Design and Development Engineer for Gears & Shafts, your responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing Gears & Shafts, ensuring compliance with best practices, function, assembly, and serviceability requirements. - Releasing prototype & production intent designs, coordinating with component experts, and leading on Monozoukuri and VAVE Workshops to meet cost targets. - Leading global localization/product design and development activities, validating component specifications, and coordinating task forces in crisis situations. - Supporting the program team to achieve milestones and deciding on validation requirements at component and aggregate levels. - Communicating design risks, changes, and impacts to cross-functional teams and leading supplier technical reviews with different teams. To be eligible for this position, you should have: - Bachelor / Master Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Discipline. - 15+ years of experience in Manual Transmission design and development with a focus on Gear & shaft sub-system. - Sound knowledge of design of rotating components with gears geometry of Spur & Helical. - Basic knowledge of gears and shafts manufacturing processes and hands-on experience in detailing, tolerancing, and stack-up analysis. - Good knowledge of materials, heat treatment processes, and APQP processes. - Hands-on experience in tools like UG, TeamCenter, Romex & Kiss soft. - Strong soft skills and the ability to lead a team of engineers.,
