Job Description

Key Responsibilities - Fleet Management: Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the companys fleet of vehicles (car, bus, trucks, vans, etc.). Schedule regular maintenance and inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Ensure all vehicles are insured and have the necessary permits, licenses, and certifications to operate. Track the condition of the fleet and report any issues or needs for repairs. Route Planning & Optimization: Develop efficient transportation routes to minimize fuel consumption, reduce delivery times, and lower operational costs. Monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and departures. Adjust routes in response to traffic, weather conditions, or emergencies to ensure timely deliveries. Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of drivers, ensuring they adhere to safety and company policies. Provide training on safe driving practices, vehicle maintenance, and route navigation. Monitor driver performance and take corrective actions when necessary to maintain high standards of service and safety. Coordinate shift schedules and ensure adequate coverage for transportation needs. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, state regulations Implement and enforce company safety policies to prevent accidents and incidents. Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, driver logs, fuel consumption, and other necessary reports for regulatory compliance. Cost Management: Monitor transportation expenses and work to reduce costs without compromising on service quality. Track fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance costs, and driver expenses, and find ways to optimize and control these expenditures. Oversee the procurement and purchase of necessary transportation equipment or supplies, ensuring budget adherence. Emergency Response & Problem-Solving: Act as the primary point of contact in case of accidents, breakdowns, or emergencies. Resolve transportation-related issues quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to the delivery schedule. Required Skills & Qualifications: Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred. Proven minimum 3 years experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office software. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Person location should be within the city and bike is mandatory.
