Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

Assist in identifying and onboarding new suppliers for mechanical, electrical, or electronic parts (as applicable).
Collect and compare supplier quotations; prepare cost comparison sheets for management review.
Support negotiation of pricing, payment terms, and lead times under guidance from senior team members.
Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Production, Quality, Stores) for technical and commercial alignment.
Maintain purchase data, RFQ records, and supplier master information in ERP.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve basic supply or documentation issues.
Assist in cost reduction projects, vendor localization, and alternate source development.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards.

Technical Skills and Experience:

Basic understanding of BOMs, drawings, and material specifications.
Exposure to ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / any equivalent).
Analytical and detail-oriented approach.
Negotiation and cost awareness.
Proficiency in MS Excel and data management.

Managerial Skills and Experience:

Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with a cross-functional team.
Sense of ownership and urgency when working in the company.
Team player with proactive attitude
Strong sense of ethics.
