We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable System Administrator to join our IT team. The System Administrator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and safeguarding the security of our systems and data. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and professionally. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Coordinate hardware upgrades and replacements as needed. Document all support requests in a ticketing system, ensuring accurate and thorough records of user issues and resolutions. Set up and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and implement security protocols. Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software. Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and workstations. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Apply hardening practices to enhance server security. Configure and manage access controls and authentication methods . Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance. Implement security measures to protect data and systems from threats . Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to address technology needs. Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff. Generate reports on system performance, security, and compliance . Regular OS End Point Patch Management and update the compliance level. Qualifications and Skills: A bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred, but some SysAdmins have equivalent experience and certifications Relevant certifications can be beneficial, such as CCNA, RHCA, Microsoft Certified Administrator, or certifications related to specific hardware or software platforms Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols, and system administration tools is essential. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) can be valuable. SysAdmins needs strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and reporting.
