Executive Chef

As an accountable individual responsible for the success of daily kitchen operations, you will exhibit your culinary talents by personally performing tasks, leading the staff, and managing all food-related functions. Your role involves continuously improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance in all areas of responsibility. You will supervise all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high-quality product is produced and guide the development of staff, including direct reports. It is essential to ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved in areas such as banquets, room service, restaurants, bar/lounge, employee cafeteria, dish room, and purchasing. Your core work activities will include leading the kitchen management team, providing direction for day-to-day operations, understanding employee positions to fill gaps when necessary, setting performance standards, and monitoring performance. You will also develop and implement guidelines for purchasing and receiving areas, establish goals, manage department expenses, and oversee menu development while ensuring culinary standards are met. In terms of exceptional customer service, you will support behaviors that go above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention. You will manage day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations, interact with guests to obtain feedback, handle complaints, and empower employees to provide excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying developmental needs, coaching and mentoring others, administering performance appraisals, and managing employee progressive discipline procedures.
