Executive / Assistant Manager – Transportation

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to manage truck operations across multiple states in India. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in transportation management, a thorough understanding of RTO rules and regulations, and expertise in documentation and compliance related to cargo movement.

Key Responsibilities:

Truck Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of truck fleets across various Indian states
• Plan and monitor dispatch schedules, routes, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate with vendors, drivers, and warehouse teams for smooth cargo movement

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of transport documents including e-way bills, LR, challans, permits, and invoices
• Maintain compliance with state-wise RTO norms and transport regulations
• Handle documentation for inter-state cargo movement, including border checks and toll formalities

Regulatory Knowledge

• Stay updated on RTO rules, vehicle fitness, insurance, pollution certificates, and other statutory requirements
• Liaise with transport authorities for permits, renewals, and inspections

Reporting & Analysis

• Track vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and delivery performance
• Prepare MIS reports on transport efficiency, cost control, and incident logs

Vendor & Driver Coordination

• Manage relationships with transport vendors and fleet owners
• Monitor driver behavior, training, and grievance redressal

Candidate Profile:

✅ Minimum 3–7 years of experience in truck transportation operations

✅ Strong knowledge of Indian transport laws and RTO regulations

✅ Familiarity with logistics software and GPS tracking systems

✅ Willingness to travel across states as required (rare)

✅ Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

✅ Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
