Job Description

Responsibilities Carry out all functions of the Duty Manager in his absence or as and when assigned. To motivate subordinate staff and up keep their morale at all times being self motivated primarily. Any deviation of staff's behaviour or professional incapability to be brought to the Duty Manager immediately when noticed. Ensure all appliances are well maintained for use at any time and any defects to be brought to the notice of the Duty Manager and properly recorded. Assist the Duty Manager and training officer in up dating and maintaining all relevant station records and training records. Lead and direct the fire crew in incidents called for, and bring the situation under control with effective judgement and quick decision. Ensure emergency preparedness and prompt response as per existing SOPs Ability to conceive new ideas and suggest improvement for enhancing operational effeciency. Provide technical feedbacks and comments on operational processes for improvement. Maintain team spirit and good inter personal relationship among all staff. Prepare and submit reports on operational and administrative matters as when advised by superior officers. Maintain an acceptable level of knowledge and proficiency in incident management and control. All other duties assigned by the superior officers as deemed to be fit for the operation of the fire service. Qualifications Must have passed JFO course from FTC/FSTC New Delhi/Kolkata or Passed Refresher/Basic Training Course (BTC) course with minimum 10 years of experience in ARFF out of which at least 4 years at a supervisory cadre or above Minimum 15 years of service in the armed forces in the capacity of minimum petty officer or seargent in the role of AFSO or Aircraft handler. Must be in possession of a valid Heavy Motor Driving Licence Must have undergone training in Airfield Crash Fire Tenders, preferably in Rosenbauer Panther trucks Should have a valid first aid certificate Must pass the prescribed physical standards and should be medically fit Should have good communication skills (English) in RT.
