Events Manager

As an Event Manager at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru, your role involves preparing all event documentation and coordinating with Sales, property departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout pre-event, event, and post-event phases of property events. You will primarily handle events of average complexity and ensure seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizing opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events will be a key part of your responsibilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Ensure events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy. - Manage group room blocks and meeting space for average to large-sized assigned groups. - Act as a liaison between field salesperson and customer throughout the event process. - Deliver excellent customer service throughout the customer experience and encourage the same from other employees. - Conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings as required to review/communicate group needs and feedback. - Assist in the sales process and revenue forecasting for customer groups. - Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees. - Take initiative to use your experience to improve service performance according to your evaluation of the issue and resolution. **Qualifications Required:** - High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years of experience in event management or a related professional area, OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with at least 1 year of experience in event management or a related professional area required.
