Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Event Operations Manager to lead the planning, strategy, and execution of world-class corporate events, luxury weddings, and exhibitions across India and international destinations. This role demands a highly experienced professional with deep operational insight, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage large-scale projects with precision and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic leadership, production expertise, vendor relations, financial management, and team development skills, ensuring every project reflects excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction. You will oversee the complete operations ecosystem from budgeting and planning to execution and reporting while continuously optimizing systems, processes, and performance metrics to elevate the organization’s standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategic Direction

  • Lead and oversee all event operations functions across corporate, wedding, and exhibition verticals.
  • Define and implement operational strategies, SOPs, and execution frameworks to ensure scalability, efficiency, and quality across all projects
  • Provide strategic inputs during pitches, proposals, and client presentations to align creative vision with operational feasibility and budget goals.
  • Develop and manage annual operations budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance while driving cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing operations team ensuring skill growth, accountability, and consistent delivery excellence.

End-to-End Project Management

  • Supervise the entire event lifecycle from conceptualization, design coordination, budgeting, and vendor selection to on-site execution and post-event review.
  • Ensure meticulous planning for each project, covering layouts, logistics, manpower, transport, venue readiness, and risk management.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with creative, client servicing, and production teams to guarantee alignment of timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.

Vendor & Partner Network

  • Stablish and maintain a global network of vendors and partners in décor, fabrication, lighting, sound, trussing, printing, and digital engagement.
  • Negotiate large-scale contracts, rate cards, and service agreements to ensure value-driven outcomes without compromising on quality.
  • Foster long-term vendor partnerships and develop alternate sourcing channels to reduce dependency and enhance agility.

Technical & Production Excellence

  • Provide technical oversight for AV, lighting, power supply, fabrication materials (MDF, acrylic, wood, metal), and digital event technologies
  • Ensure events adhere to international safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Drive innovation by integrating the latest event technologies, sustainable production methods, and immersive experiences (AR/VR, projection mapping, hybrid event tools).

Client & Business Impact

  • Serve as the primary operational authority for key clients and premium projects, ensuring seamless coordination and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion strategies.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure each event enhances brand reputation and market positioning.

Process Optimization & Innovation

  • Continuously analyze operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement automation or process improvements.
  • Introduce performance tracking metrics (KPIs, dashboards) for project efficiency, team utilization, and cost savings.
  • Champion sustainable practices and eco-conscious event production methods. On-Site & Global Oversight
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and technical evaluations for upcoming projects.
  • Oversee high-profile international weddings, exhibitions, and conferences ensuring global-standard execution.
  • Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and profitability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Mass Media, Advertising, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in event operations, production, or project management with at least 5years in a leadership or head-of-operations role.
  • Proven expertise in corporate events, destination weddings, exhibitions, and experiential campaigns.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and P&L accountability.
  • Strong technical knowledge of production materials, fabrication processes, stage setups, AV systems, and venue management.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and client management skills with a reputation for clarity and dependability.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines with precision.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiar with event/project management platforms (Asana, Zoho Projects, Trello, Cvent, Monday.com).
  • A proactive, street-smart, and innovative mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and create real-time solutions.
  • Strong industry network of vendors, suppliers, and partners across India and abroad.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for site inspections, vendor meetings, and on-site supervision.
