Senior Software Engineer / ETL Developer External Description Description - External Position Overview We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer with extensive database experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes that ensure data is accurately integrated and available for analysis. They will collaborate with both business and technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective ETL solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and transformation. Work closely with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet those needs. Optimize and tune ETL processes for efficiency and performance. Ensure data quality and consistency across all ETL processes. Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes and data flows. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data loading. Collaborate with database administrators to optimize data storage and retrieval. Maintain and enhance existing ETL processes as business requirements evolve. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an ETL Developer with a strong focus on database management. Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar. Strong SQL skills and experience with database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell scripting. Familiarity with cloud-based data services like AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure SQL Database. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field. Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. Certification in ETL tools or database management. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Understanding of data governance and compliance regulations.
