Escrow Analsyt

Job Summary:

The Associate will be responsible for researching, validating, and processing refund requests related to real estate taxes. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work with internal teams, clients, and external tax authorities to ensure accurate and timely resolution of refund cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze tax payment records, escrow accounts, and disbursement histories to identify overpayments, duplicate payments, or incorrect tax submissions.
• Research tax authority documentation, payment confirmations, and client records to validate refund eligibility.
• Coordinate with county/state tax authorities to initiate and track refund requests.
• Prepare refund documentation, reconcile amounts, and ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of refund cases in tracking systems and ensure timely updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams (disbursement, taxline setup, escrow, finance) to resolve discrepancies and provide supporting documentation.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding refund status, timelines, and escalations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 1–5 years of experience in real estate tax servicing, mortgage operations, escrow, or financial services (internships/entry-level experience also considered).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, databases, and tax servicing platforms (experience with mortgage/tax software is a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
