Job Description

Employee Relations (ER): Develop and implement employee relations policies and strategies to promote a positive work environment. Address and resolve employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and labor laws. Provide expert advice to management and employees on HR policies, workplace conflicts, and legal compliance. Conduct investigations related to workplace issues such as harassment, discrimination, and other misconduct allegations. Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, focus groups, and surveys to enhance workplace culture. Industrial Relations (IR): Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade unions, work councils, and employee representatives. Negotiate collective bargaining agreements and manage union-related activities. Ensure compliance with all labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies. Represent the company in labor court cases, audits, and regulatory compliance matters. Handle disputes related to disciplinary actions, terminations, and retrenchments in adherence to legal frameworks. Compliance & Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure legal compliance in HR processes. Keep abreast of labor law changes and recommend necessary adjustments to company policies. Design and conduct training programs for managers and employees on ER/IR best practices. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal HR teams, legal departments, and business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals. Act as a liaison between management, employees, and external regulatory bodies. Build and maintain relationships with external legal advisors, labor officers, and industry experts.
