Job Description

Role Overview

As a Catalog Manager, this person will take ownership of the product catalog, ensuring all product data is accurate, well-structured, and consistently maintained. Will also manage client-specific pricing configurations and actively work to improve product discovery and cross-sell opportunities across the platform. Role will directly impact customer satisfaction, sales effectiveness, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage creation, upload, and maintenance of product listings on Shopify
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all catalog data including specifications, descriptions, images, tags, and pricing
  • Maintain and update catalog structure, including categories, collections, and filters
  • Collaborate with category managers, suppliers, and internal teams to onboard new products efficiently
  • Manage pricing updates and configurations, including setting client-specific pricing based on agreed terms, volume, or purchase history
  • Regularly audit and cleanse catalog data to ensure consistency and relevance
  • Work closely with the sales and account management teams to align catalog content with client requirements
  • Identify and implement cross-selling opportunities within the catalog by grouping related or complementary products, and maintaining logical product associations
  • Collaborate with tech and design teams to optimize catalog display and navigation
  • Generate basic reports to track catalog health, performance, and improvement areas

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing catalogs across varied product categories
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory/order management systems
  • Understanding of B2B buyer behavior and product bundling strategies
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and large dataset management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage structured, scalable product data
  • Experience with client-specific pricing models and product segmentation
  • Understanding of product relationships and how they influence cross-sell performance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Commerce, Operations, or a related field
  • 36 years of experience in catalog or product data management, experience in B2B eCommerce preferred
