Environmental Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to all environmental laws, rules, and regulations (CPCB, SPCB, MoEF, etc.).

• Obtain and maintain environmental clearances, NOCs, and consents (CTE, CTO, Hazardous Waste Authorization, etc.).

• Prepare and submit periodic compliance reports to regulatory authorities.

• Maintain accurate documentation for audits, client requirements, and inspections.

• Conduct environmental audits and inspections across project sites/plants.

• Perform monthly environmental assessments to ensure compliance and recommend risk mitigation.

• Monitor air, water, soil, and noise pollution levels using appropriate equipment.

• Maintain records of waste disposal, emissions, and environmental incidents.

• Design and implement waste reduction, segregation, treatment, and disposal strategies.

• Manage solid waste processing with focus on collection, segregation, and resource recovery.

• Verify quality of processed products (RDF, compost, aggregates, recycled concrete, RAP).

• Oversee hazardous material handling and spill management protocols.

• Promote efficient resource utilization (energy, water, raw materials).

• Develop Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

• Contribute to sustainability reporting, carbon footprint analysis, and green certifications.

• Encourage adoption of eco-friendly practices across the organization.

• Conduct environmental awareness programs and training for staff/workers.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Environmental Engineering (M.Tech in Environmental Science/Engineering is an added advantage).

• Strong knowledge of Indian environmental laws, standards, and regulations.

• Proven hands-on experience in solid waste management

• Proficiency in environmental report writing, data analysis, and monitoring equipment.

• Knowledge of pollution control systems, EMP, and EIA practices.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to compliance.

• Ability to conduct training and awareness programs effectively.
