About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Environment Support Specialist to manage application support BAU activities on AS400 systems. This role is based at our EON, Pune location and reports to Someshwar Prasad. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in AS400 operations, DB2, and control language, with a collaborative approach to issue resolution and stakeholder coordination.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day support for AS400 applications and operations.
- Administer AS400 environments including user profile creation and access provisioning.
- Manage and monitor various job types such as autostart, prestart, communication, and batch jobs.
- Apply working knowledge of DB2 and CL (Control Language) to maintain system integrity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of reported issues.
- Utilise ITIL framework and tools like JIRA or BMC Remedy for defect and ticket management.
- Contribute to error-free and timely delivery of services, ensuring no escalations.
Who You Are
- Proficient in AS400 application operations and administration.
- Strong understanding of DB2 and control language.
- Familiarity with job scheduling and management on AS400.
- Exposure to RPG and IBM mainframe is advantageous.
- Experience with ITIL processes and ticketing tools.
- Knowledge of telecom domain applications is desirable.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
