Engineer/Manager- Procurement

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Source, negotiate, and purchase construction materials (e.g., asphalt, cement, aggregates), machinery, and other necessary supplies using SAP to track and manage procurement processes. Negotiate terms with suppliers and contractors, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and project requirements. Use SAP to monitor procurement budgets, track costs, and ensure purchases stay within budget. Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high-quality standards. Utilize SAP for real-time inventory tracking and management to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed, preventing delays at the construction site. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.(Diploma or any Graduate ) Experience: 6+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector. Experience with road construction projects and SAP systems is highly preferred. Proficient in SAP (or similar ERP systems), specifically in modules related to procurement, inventory, and financial management. Strong negotiation and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of road construction materials, equipment, and processes. Ability to analyze procurement data, costs, and trends using SAP . Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with procurement contracts, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
