Job Description

Role & responsibilities Leadership & Strategy : Lead and mentor a growing team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance. Define and execute the engineering roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and vision. Establish clear engineering metrics and KPIs, with a focus on delivering high-quality products and addressing technical debt. Technical Debt Management Identify and prioritize technical debt across existing codebases, ensuring that it is addressed in a strategic and structured manner. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement best practices for minimizing future technical debt. Code Quality & Continuous Improvement: Lead the implementation and management of tools like SonarQube to ensure code quality, static analysis, and adherence to coding standards. Work with engineering teams to continuously improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that best practices around testing, code reviews, and automated pipelines are followed. System Design & Architecture: Lead the design and evolution of scalable, reliable, and secure system architectures. Provide expertise and guidance on large-scale system design, balancing business needs with technical requirements. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Product, Design, and Operations teams to define engineering requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Communicate technical vision, roadmaps, and progress to non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. Preferred candidate profile 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles (e.g., Director, VP, CTO). Proven experience in managing large-scale, distributed systems with a focus on technical debt remediation. Extensive experience with system design, architecture, and development best practices. Deep understanding and hands-on experience with SonarQube or similar static code analysis tools. Experience in leading engineering teams that balance technical debt with product development and feature delivery. Strong background in Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and software testing practices. Expertise in software development languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.). Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices, and containerized architectures (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with various database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, etc.) and data storage solutions. Experience in designing and scaling high-performance systems, including understanding of load balancing, caching, and fault tolerance. Strong experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and build tools.
