Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Plant Engineering & Maintenance Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of production equipment and utilities. Ensure minimal downtime by maintaining equipment efficiency. Oversee maintenance of HVAC, purified water systems, boilers, compressors, DG sets, and ETP/STP . 2. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with GMP, WHO, and local regulatory requirements related to engineering. Maintain proper documentation for equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) and calibration. Prepare for regulatory audits and ensure readiness of engineering-related records. 3. Utilities & Energy Management Monitor and optimize power, water, steam, and fuel consumption to reduce costs. Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical utilities like HVAC, purified water systems, and compressed air. Implement basic energy conservation measures to improve plant efficiency. 4. Project Execution & Equipment Installation Plan and execute small to mid-size CAPEX projects , including new equipment installations. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for project execution. Ensure smooth execution of modifications, upgrades, and expansions within the plant. 5. Safety & Compliance Ensure all engineering operations comply with workplace safety regulations . Conduct periodic equipment safety checks and enforce best practices. Train the team on engineering SOPs and safety protocols . 6. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff . Assign tasks, monitor work progress, and provide guidance. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement . Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of pharma plant maintenance & utilities Understanding of GMP & compliance requirements Hands-on experience with HVAC, purified water, and cleanroom maintenance Ability to manage vendors, contractors, and maintenance budgets Leadership and problem-solving skills Candidates with experience in OSD, Injectables, or CDMO Pharma manufacturing are preferred.
