Engineering Manager - SaaS Platform

As an Engineering Manager for our startup client based in Gurgaon, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the enterprise platform. You are an experienced technologist with a strong engineering background, a sharp product mindset, and the ability to lead high-performance teams. If you have experience in founding or early-stage startups and enjoy the challenge of building from the ground up, we are excited to meet you. **Role Overview:** - Provide technical direction and leadership across engineering projects and initiatives - Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the core SaaS platform - Own engineering roadmaps, set technical goals, and translate product requirements into execution plans - Ensure code quality with robust review processes, clean coding practices, and architectural best practices - Mentor engineers, foster a collaborative team culture, and nurture technical leadership within the team - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps - Drive excellence in CI/CD pipelines, cloud architecture, and performance optimization - Maintain regular tracking of project delivery, timelines, and risks - Promote a culture of continuous learning, ownership, and innovation - Ensure platform stability, uptime, and reliability - Ensure the platform is bug-free and take ownership of all client interactions post-implementation from a tech perspective - Create and mentor a talent pipeline through a robust intern program **Key Responsibilities:** - 8 - 12 years of experience in software engineering with 5+ years of hands-on development - 3+ years leading engineering teams or managing projects in a B2B SaaS environment - Proficiency in modern tech stacks such as TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node/Nest.js - Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and cloud infrastructure (AWS/OCI) - Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) - Strong technical decision-making and people management skills - Previous founder/founding team experience is a big plus - Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and a passion for building great tech **Qualifications Required:** - 8 - 12 years of experience in software engineering with 5+ years of hands-on development - 3+ years leading engineering teams or managing projects in a B2B SaaS environment - Proficiency in TypeScript, React/Next.js, Node/Nest.js - Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and cloud infrastructure (AWS/OCI) - Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) - Strong technical decision-making and people management skills - Previous founder/founding team experience is a big plus - Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and a passion for building great tech Please note that this job description is for a position with our startup client in Gurgaon.,
