Engineering Manager - Java Tech Stack

As an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in the Java tech stack, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure applications. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding the engineering team through all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your key responsibilities will include providing technical leadership by guiding the team in developing applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices, actively participating in all SDLC phases, providing architectural guidance, enforcing coding standards, managing build pipelines using Ant and Maven, leading and mentoring a team of engineers, optimizing performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, enforcing code quality and security measures, and leading root cause analysis for production issues. To excel in this role, you should have at least 15 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 2 years as an Engineering Manager, strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework, experience in Microservices Architecture, proficiency in build tools like Ant and Maven, hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerization tools, a strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices, experience with database technologies, familiarity with logging, monitoring, and APM tools, excellent problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and the ability to lead complex engineering initiatives. Exposure to event-driven architectures, server configuration, knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, and certifications in AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes would be considered a plus.
