The Opportunity We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Engineering Manager to join our expanding Engineering team. You will be a part of the Applications team, primarily responsible for establishing the strategic technical direction, leading customer focus products and actively driving the execution of the strategy across many Dataorb s product areas taking care of the assignments and leading and managing the team related to transforming the designs into code. You should have a sense of design to point out the design gaps and give your valuable feedback to the design team. You will contribute to establish the best practices, follow them and motivate others as well to do the same. Core Responsibilities Take complete ownership of delivery: Plan, track, and ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality software releases. Plan sprints, allocate resources effectively, and manage team capacity to align with business priorities. Act as a bridge between Product Owners, Stakeholders, and the Engineering team: Engage regularly with the Product Owner to understand priorities, clarify requirements, and translate them into actionable technical tasks. Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and blockers. Drive continuous improvement in team processes, engineering standards, and best practices. Mentor and coach team members, fostering growth in both technical and soft skills. Lead performance reviews, goal-setting, and career development for engineers. Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration within the team. Provide technical direction, architecture guidance, and design reviews for SaaS applications. Contribute to code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and system performance. Actively participate in development by contributing to complex modules, PoCs, or prototypes as needed. Troubleshoot performance issues, scalability challenges, and security concerns across the stack. Guide the team in solving complex technical problems, ensuring optimal architecture, design patterns, and trade-offs. Stay up-to-date with technology trends and help the team adopt modern tools and practices. Create Documentation, sequence diagram and other low-level design artefacts. Ensures the developed code covers the non-functional requirements including performance, security, auditing and integrity. Resolve production incidents or defects as needed, and proactively identify potential issues. before they appear in the production environment; contribute to the root cause analysis. Drive high performance and accountability for own deliverables. Work well within a team and always work for team success by supporting other team members, constructively acting on feedback, and identifying challenging opportunities that enhance career growth. Contribute in defining secure coding standards, and work in a team to follow best practices to ensure compliance with standards, quality, scalability and security of deliverables. Tackle challenges and solve complex problems on a daily basis. You will interact with various stakeholders and work with cross-technical teams across the design, coding, testing, production deployment, and third party product implementation processes. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
