Engineering Manager

As a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Manager at Autodesk, you will be joining the Autodesk Libraries Platform team. Your role will involve leading a team to develop scalable web cloud services in an agile environment, nurturing talent, and advocating best practices. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps, priorities, and project delivery plans. Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing to software design and architecture with your cloud expertise - Leading planning, design, and development activities - Being accountable for business outcomes and engineering excellence - Inspiring, motivating, and coaching team members for maximum productivity - Leading and mentoring developers to meet organizational needs and individual career goals - Recruiting and nurturing top talents to develop high-performing teams - Coordinating with other teams on engineering best practices and dependencies - Enhancing engineering efficiency by observing the team, identifying opportunities, and influencing improvement - Providing technical guidance and mentorship to teammates - Identifying the right approach when facing uncertainties and supporting teams in navigating changes Qualifications required for this role include: - BS degree in software engineering or related field - 10+ years of experience in designing and developing cloud/server applications and desktop applications - 6+ years of hands-on software development experience in Java, Spring - 5+ years of production experience in large-scale cloud-based Infrastructure (AWS preferred) - 3+ years of experience in leading, mentoring, and managing development teams - Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience in front-end web development technology stack - Experience in hiring key talent and setting up teams for success - Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills - Ability to deliver well-structured project plans and communicate across teams - Experience leading in an Agile development environment and modernizing a legacy codebase About Autodesk: Autodesk is a company where amazing things are created every day with software.
