The candidate will be responsible for smoothly managing the design activities for all the components of Pump Storage Projects, viz., Dam, Intake & Outlet Structures, Water Conductor System, Powerhouse, Adits etc. He shall regularly oversee & improve the engineering processes, ensure the team meets deadlines and the quality standards. He will collaborate with geologists, geotechnical engineers, hydraulic engineers, surveyors, etc. to seek input for the design & generate the cost-effective output using innovative approach. He shall have sound knowledge about relevant Indian & International Codes and good hand on structural analysis softwares & problem-solving skills. The candidate is expected to co-ordinate design process and will be deputed at project site.
▪ Preparing & maintaining Document/Drawing Submission Plan in line with the Construction Schedule.▪ Co-ordinate with Design Team Stationed at Design office.▪ Review of Design Reports & Drawings prepared by Design Engineers & Draftspersons respectively.▪ Reading & ensure that the Employer’s Design Specifications & relevant codes & standards are followed.▪ Ensure timely submission of Documents/Drawings for approval.▪ Ensure that all Documents/Drawings are prepared as per the Quality Management System.▪ Monitor the construction item quantities. Technical discussion with Design Engineers for quantity optimization.▪ Check for any deviations from the design or issues that need to be addressed.▪ Maintain accurate records of design changes & approvals.▪ Manage design operations to meet project milestones and fulfil the customers’ requirements.▪ Participating in project review meetings with consultants, PMC, etc. to discuss design issues, resolve conflicts,make decisions on design adaptations and record Minutes.▪ Record all communications between office and site for future reference.▪ Collaborate with internal teams, viz., geologists, geotechnical & hydraulics engineers to ensure seamlesscoordination.
