Job Title : Engineer - Ship Building Location : Mumbai Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ship Building Engineer to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience in ship construction, maintenance, and repair. The role requires a solid understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and project management specific to the shipbuilding industry. Key Responsibilities: 1.1 Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of Barges and marine vessels. 1.2 Collaborate with naval architects, designers, and other engineering specialists to develop efficient ship designs. 1.3 Manage shipbuilding projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. 1.4 Perform detailed structural and mechanical assessments for vessel safety and performance. 1.5 Develop and review technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings. 1.6 Conduct quality control checks, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards. 1.7 Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and shipyard personnel for smooth execution of projects. 1.8 Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the shipbuilding process. 1.9 Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations throughout all project phases. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field. Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding, marine engineering, or related sectors. Strong understanding of ship design, marine systems, and mechanical engineering principles. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
