Job Description

Role in lab is: Safety test Engineer and is responsible for Electrical and Electronics Safety Lab testing/Basic test data activities. Roles and Responsibilities Testing,Reporting of Test data /Test report preparation as per different generic standards & product categories like : At least one cat required & overall technical administration of ITAV safety projects assigned. Luminaire & Lighting Products (IEC 60958-1/IS 10322(Part 1) , different Subparts and equivalent national and international standards) IT/AV(IEC 60950/IS 13252, IEC 60065/IS 616, IEC 62368-1 and equivalent national and international standards) Lab Measurement and Control instrument (IEC 61010-1 and equivalent national and international standards). Household appliances (IEC 60335-1/IS 302-1 and different Subparts and equivalent national and international standards Uninterrupted power supply (UPS) (IEC/EN62040-1 and equivalent national and international standards Project completion within timeline, daily coordination with junior trainee testing engineer on testing and test result update activity in the test record and test report. Completion of replicate, retesting, PT, ILC, Maintenance, Recording environment data, Earth resistance measurement, Power characteristic verification activity in lab as per plan. When nonconformance observed in lab notifying seniors, helping in analysing & conducting root cause analysis. Based on assignment addressing/rectifying testing & reporting quality related issues / customer complaint issues assisting seniors to resolve the issues. Handling multiplies project assigned & making test setup review and conducting tests as per standards applicable for particular projects assigned under seniors. Completion of all assigned technical/quality training for skill matrix update. Flawless testing & recording test data in sheets, review and ensuring no errors in testing data recording & entry. Guiding on test methods/related issues for trainee test engineers working in the lab. Review and Sign test reports as test engineer and verify results maintaining error free & required quality test data. Taking a pro-active action to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintaining project files/records as per requirement of accreditation body/regulatory body/statutory body. Review all the tests are performed as per the correct method applicable. Review of the validation data and calibration of all instrument & plan schedule for calibration & validation. Assisting to implement any new test method and process. To provide technical support and address technical, operational issues whenever assigned Ensuring that confidentiality and integrity is maintained at all times in the laboratory. Meeting the project TAT by properly scheduling testing and execution on time ,Completion of all project files on time & getting it reviewed within project timeline. Updating project status to seniors from time to time & if any failures in testing or deviations observed shall be brought to the notice of seniors immediately for further review and timely action on the same. Need to carry out any lab or lab related operational tasks as assigned by seniors or Lab manager/deputy managers from time to time.
