Engineer (Mechanical) - Static Heat Transfer

Major Responsibilities:

Selected candidate will report to the Engineering Group Supervisor and essential job duties will include the following:

Plan and conduct within schedule and cost independent work carried out with sound engineering practices and of desired quality

Review of Process package for completeness of Process and Mechanical related dataReview of PFDs, PIDs, MSDs, Data sheets. Commenting/review on the same for completenessDevelop technical specifications for Equipment/Package. Review of specifications from Licensor / Client / PMCParticipating in IDC process. Interaction with Engineering disciplines, Clients / PMC, Bidders / Vendors Design, preparation of MDS/Engineering drawings, MRQs. Review of Quotes, assessing deviations, raising of TQs, TBEs, MRPs

Interact with Global offices, execute work on workshare mode.Help project/proposal activitiesParticipating in Value Engineering, design and cost optimization.Coordinate technical issues with other departments on projects including technical and constructabilityDevelop standard documentation for use on projectsImplement/Capture Lesson LearntResolving Vendor/Site queries. Interaction with Inspection Agencies, Expeditors, other agencies for delivery of Equipment/Packages

Providing Inputs/Review for Progress reportingHelping the project through construction and commissioning phasesTravel to help activities at other engineering offices, supplier s works, construction sites.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering from accredited college or university.Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Good knowledge of static equipment detail design, heat exchanger thermal sizing, design and construction codes, inspection.

The Candidate will work as part of Global Bechtel team and should have basic flair for working with personnel of different nationalities.

Should have a good proficiency for spoken and written English language.Candidate to mention valid visa available including detail of Type, expiry date. Denial of USA visa earlier at any stage need to be indicated.

Specific capabilities required for the role include experience in:

Thermal and Mechanical design using HTRI for various S&T Exchangers, Air coolers for LNG, Refinery and Petrochemical plants, related packages, Off-site and Utilities. Knowledge of Columns and their

Internals, Pressures Vessels, FiltersKnowledge for different Process Licenser specific design requirements and construction features
