Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Ethanol Plant Experience : 5–8 Years Job Location : Muzaffarpur Department : Engineering / Operations Reports to : Plant Head / Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities: Supervise installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment (pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, compressors, etc.) Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies. Coordinate with other departments (electrical, instrumentation, operations) for smooth plant functioning. Maintain records of maintenance activities and spare parts inventory. Suggest and implement continuous improvement measures for equipment efficiency and reliability. Monitor utility systems like steam, water, and compressed air. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of rotating and static mechanical equipment. Familiar with ethanol/distillery/chemical plant operations. Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and CMMS software (if applicable). Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. 5–8 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering in ethanol/distillery/chemical plants.
