How will you make an impact in this role? Responsible for architecting and implementing Cloud solutions for American Express spanning across public cloud providers and on-premise As a Cloud Engineer, you will be a key to the development of Hybrid Cloud Platform as Service (PaaS) architecture and systems that span multiple clouds ( AWS, GCP, Azure, Private Cloud). In this role you · Perform Rapid POCs to prove software initiatives and validate ideas for large multi cloud platform deployments · Actively participate in the design of new systems and the redesign of existing systems to meet product requirements, changing needs · Support engineers and product managers in rapid development and deployment in agile fashion · Drive both high level and detailed design, conduct design reviews, and feature implementation · Engage and work with cross-functional leaders to understand and help define business principles, goals and strategy within scope of responsibility. · Communicate to senior leaders with regard to strategy direction and changes. · Troubleshoot production issues by engaging support teams and assist in the resolution of issues; formulate action plan; interpreting the results to determine further action; perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues; and create/update support Runbooks Minimum Qualifications - Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field System Design - 2+ years of experience in software development using golang, python or java - 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems design and architecture Preferred Qualifications - AWS/GCP/Azure/OpenShift experience -CKD/A, Public cloud solution architect certifications Terraform, Ansible experience We back you with benefits that support your holistic well-being so you can be and deliver your best.
