\ Electrical Designer What you will do The candidate will be part of the team responsible for product development and sustenance of JCI Applied chiller products. He/she will have the skills that will meet the job demands for this year’s projects. The candidate must possess the ability to self-start with limited guidance. The candidate will work alongside other engineering teams, such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Product Engineering and ITrelated personnel. These individuals hold meetings regularly to update activities and milestones. The primary focus for this candidate will be the design & development of electrical control panels, wire harnesses for chiller system design, load calculation, feature application and design review Ensuring quality and timeliness design release of product development and manufacturing drawings for control panels & wire harnesses for self and other team members. How you will do it The candidate will help the Project Electrical Engineer with preparations and guides of: • Design & Development of electrical control panels, wire harness, select electrical equipment with load calculation and sizes. • Application wise panel building & selection of equipment with UL standard. • Create load list for complete panel, application engineering. • A creative flair and design ability as per application. • Analyze the power circuits, MCC, VFD, Controllers, overload relays, Junction boxes. • Follow standard procedures and practices for engineering works. What we look for Required • BE/ B.Tech / M.Tech- Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation or equivalent • Working proficiency in the CAD (2D & 3D) design tools – AutoCAD, Creo & Windchill must. • 4+ years of experience in design & development of HVAC-water cooled and air-cooled chiller products. • Design and development of electrical control panels and enclosures as per manufacturing needs. • Knowledge of electrical equipment selection and finalize for panel building. • Design knowledge of various equipment selection like Disconnect switches, power terminal blocks, Fuses, MCB, Controllers, VFD, Application engineering. • Experience with BOM structure, engineering change process. • Strong communication skills \ Johnson Controls is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
