Job Description

Core Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in C/C++/Rust and systems programming.
Deep experience with Linux kernel development, debugging, and upstreaming.
Expertise in power and performance analysis and optimization.
Experience with hardware bring-up, driver development, and debugging.
Thorough understanding of OS security principles and best practices.

Development Workflow & Communication:

Mastery of Git and the Gerrit code review process.
Experience with open-source development practices and communities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Additional Scope of work:

Monitor Kernel, EC, and Graphics crash trends and flag major regressions weekly.
Review dashboards (CrOSHealth, Kernel, EC) to identify top crashes from the field.
Analyze and triage top UI and EC crashes weekly, updating bugs with crash statistics and identifying the milestone where the impacted firmware was introduced.
Ping issue owners of top crashes for updates and file new bugs for significant crash spikes when necessary.
Update bi-weekly platform stability check-in slides with crash stats and trends.
Draft a monthly platform stability report in a Google Doc to summarize crash trends.
