Electronics Manager

Job Description

Manager for Electronics You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of electronic components and systems within home appliances. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics principles, appliance functionality, and the ability to translate design concepts into functional and manufacturable products. Primary Job Responsibilities: Electronic System Design: Design and develop electronic circuits and systems for home appliances, including microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces. PCB Design and Layout: Create schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard design tools. Optimize layouts for signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability. Embedded Software Development: Develop firmware and embedded software to control appliance functionality, implement user interfaces, and enable communication with external devices. Sensor Integration: Integrate sensors for temperature, humidity, pressure, motion, and other parameters to enable smart features and enhance appliance performance. Wireless Connectivity: Implement wireless connectivity solutions such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or Z-Wave to enable remote monitoring, control, and automation of appliances. Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and procedures to validate electronic systems and components. Conduct functional testing, reliability testing, and compliance testing to ensure product quality and safety. Product Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, industrial designers, and product managers to optimize product performance, features, and user experience. Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve hardware and software issues through systematic troubleshooting and debugging techniques. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed. Documentation and Reporting: Generate detailed documentation including design specifications, test reports, and technical documentation. Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders. Skill Sets Experience with embedded systems design. Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet. Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) principles. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications and Experience Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering Minimum of 7 - 15 years of experience in electronics design for consumer products or home appliances (preferred). Strong understanding of analogy and digital electronics principles. Proficiency in electronic design automation (EDA) tools, including circuit simulation software and PCB layout software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
