Job Title: SPS Commerce EDI Developer

Position Summary
The SPS Commerce EDI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting electronic data interchange (EDI) integrations between internal business systems (such as ERP or order management platforms) and trading partners via the SPS Commerce network. This role ensures seamless, accurate, and timely exchange of data such as purchase orders, invoices, and shipment notices.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain EDI integrations using SPS Commerce Fulfillment, Integration, and Analytics tools.
• Configure and manage trading partner setups and document mappings (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 846, 997).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, ERP teams, and external vendors to implement and test EDI workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction issues, transmission errors, and data mismatches.
• Monitor EDI processes for performance and reliability, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Maintain documentation of EDI mappings, partner specifications, and system configurations.
• Participate in projects involving onboarding new trading partners or migrating EDI processes to SPS Commerce.
• Work with SPS Commerce support teams to manage tickets and integration projects.
• Ensure EDI compliance with customer and retailer requirements (Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc.).
• Assist in automation of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes through SPS Commerce integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of experience with EDI development or support, preferably using SPS Commerce solutions.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and transaction sets (850, 856, 810, etc.).
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor).
• Proficiency in data formats (XML, JSON, flat file, CSV) and integration methods (API, FTP/SFTP, AS2, VAN).
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SPS Commerce Integrations (SFTP, API, or custom connectors).
• Familiarity with EDI testing and mapping tools (Gentran, Liaison, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.).
• Understanding of supply chain processes — order management, invoicing, shipping, and fulfillment.
• Prior experience with retail or CPG trading partners (e.g., Walmart, Target, Costco).
• Knowledge of SQL, scripting, or middleware integration tools a plus.
