Job Overview : We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician with experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in a steel plant environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an ITI qualification in Electrical Engineering and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial setting. Key Responsibilities: Perform electrical maintenance, installation, and repairs of machinery, equipment, and electrical systems within the steel plant. Troubleshoot and identify electrical issues in equipment, machinery, and power distribution systems. Ensure proper functioning and safety of electrical systems by conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance. Work with electrical blueprints and diagrams to execute repairs, installations, and upgrades. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing work in compliance with plant standards. Maintain and repair electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, circuit breakers, generators, and control systems. Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations of plant equipment and resolve electrical malfunctions quickly. Assist in the commissioning and installation of new electrical systems and machinery. Record and report daily work activities and maintenance logs. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including environmental and safety regulations. Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications:Skills & Competencies:Physical Requirements:Working Conditions: Educational Qualification: Minimum ITI (Industrial Training Institute) qualification in Electrical Engineering. Experience: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance in a steel plant, manufacturing, or similar heavy industrial environment. Technical Skills: Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Experience with electrical troubleshooting, fault finding, and repair. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. Knowledge of PLC systems, power distribution, and control systems is a plus. Certifications: Valid Electrical License (if applicable as per local regulations) is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good understanding of electrical safety standards and practices. Ability to work in high-pressure situations, maintaining safety and quality standards. Strong communication skills to work effectively with other departments. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights if necessary. Comfortable working in noisy, hot, and dusty conditions. The position may require shift work, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by plant operations. Must be able to work in a steel plant environment with exposure to industrial machinery and equipment.
