Key Responsibilities: Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and systems. Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify malfunctions, and repair or replace damaged components. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems are operating correctly and safely. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures. Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of electrical theory, codes, and practices. Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Collaboration: Work with other tradespeople, engineers, and supervisors. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment maintenance. Skills and Qualifications: Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical problems effectively. Safety Knowledge: Thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations and procedures. Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces. Education and Experience: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program, and/or relevant experience.
