Job Description

Job Summary: The Electrical Wireman is responsible for wiring, assembling, and installing electrical panels, control systems, and industrial equipment . This role requires expertise in electrical wiring, panel wiring, conduit installation, and troubleshooting electrical connections to ensure safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities: 1. Electrical Wiring & Panel Assembly Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings . Perform wiring of control panels, distribution boards, and motor control centers (MCCs) . Ensure proper termination, cable routing, and connection of electrical components . Label and organize wiring as per industry standards . 2. Installation & Field Wiring Install cables, conduits, cable trays, and wiring systems at industrial sites. Lay and connect power cables, communication cables, and control wiring . Ensure all wiring is done according to safety codes and electrical standards . Perform loop checking, continuity testing, and insulation resistance testing . 3. Equipment & Component Installation Mount and wire PLC panels, VFD panels, servo systems, and motor controls . Install and connect electrical motors, sensors, switches, and relays . Ensure proper grounding and earthing connections for all equipment. Perform installation of industrial lighting and power distribution systems . 4. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Diagnose and repair faulty electrical connections, panels, and circuits . Identify and rectify short circuits, loose connections, and wiring defects . Assist in preventive maintenance of electrical systems and machines. Replace defective components such as relays, breakers, switches, and fuses . 5. Compliance & Safety Follow electrical safety protocols, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures , and company policies. Ensure compliance with IS (Indian Standards) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards . Use personal protective equipment (PPE) while handling electrical work. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: ITI / Diploma in Electrician, Electrical Wiring, or Electrical Engineering . Certified Wireman License (if required by local regulations). Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring techniques, and control systems . Experience with PLC wiring, control panels, and motor controls . Ability to use multimeters, insulation testers, and other electrical tools . Understanding of cable sizing, voltage ratings, and current capacity . Soft Skills: Attention to detail and precise wiring skills . Ability to work independently or in a team . Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities . Strong safety awareness and discipline .
