Electrical Design Engineer

Position: Senior Design Engineer - Electrical

Location: Chennai

Experience: 8 - 15 Years

Role & responsibilities

The Solar Engineer is responsible for providing innovative and comprehensive solutions in design

engineering for commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects. The incumbent shall work

in a collaborative, team-based environment.

• Working closely with Sales or BDT to offer best solution for each project.
• Model & simulate in PVSyst (or) Helioscope, design and Engineering of PV plants.
• Single line diagrams, Interconnection drawings, Solar field optimized layouts, Technical

Specification preparation.

• Technical Bid evaluation for Grid connected Solar plant.
• Lead internal Operations team throughout project development and implementation.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to collect the developments and

improvement in Solar PV space.

• Assist Performance Assurance group with system performance monitoring.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in design engineering for commercial

and utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects with a focus on electrical design and grid

integration.

• Should have experience in Single line diagrams, Interconnection drawings, Solar field

optimized layouts, Technical Specification preparation.

• Should have experience in Power evacuation
• Understanding of Project Management function is must

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in design and simulation software (e.g., Pvsyst or helioscope ).
