Electrical Design Engineer – Solar PV Projects Location : Pune Company : DAPS Solutions Experience Required : Minimum 3 years in Solar Design Engineering Employment Type : Full-Time No. of Positions : 1 📝Job Description We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Electrical Design Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in solar PV system design and engineering . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the detailed electrical design, engineering documentation, technical support, and coordination for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects (both grid-tied and hybrid/off-grid systems). 🛠 Key Responsibilities Develop electrical design drawings, SLDs, GTPs, and load flow diagrams for solar PV projects. Design and size electrical components such as inverters, transformers, cables, protection systems, earthing, lightning protection, etc. Prepare and review technical specifications, BOQs, and datasheets for procurement. Carry out system simulations using PVsyst, or equivalent tools. Ensure compliance with national (CEA, IS, CBIP) and international (IEC, IEEE) standards. Support site teams during execution and commissioning with technical clarifications. Coordinate with civil/mechanical design teams and interface with clients and vendors. Prepare project documentation such as DPRs, TEV reports, and as-built drawings. Ensure quality control and standardization across engineering deliverables. 📚 Required Qualifications and Skills B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design for solar PV projects (rooftop/ground-mounted/hybrid) Proficient in AutoCAD , PVsyst , MS Excel ; knowledge of ETAP, Helioscope is a plus Understanding of Indian Electrical Standards, IEC codes, MNRE & DISCOM regulations Familiarity with battery storage, hybrid inverters, and net metering is an advantage Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and reporting abilities ➕ Preferred/Desirable Experience in detailed engineering for MW-scale solar projects Exposure to international standards or projects (optional) Chartered Engineer or certified in design tools/software (optional) Send your updated CV to amit.sakhare@thedaps.in with the subject line Show more Show less
